How does memories get distorted when trying to remember someone you loved. What images appear and how, which parts we censor.

Treatment

The film depicts different memories from a love story shot in layers on a VHS tape - one deeper than the other and overwritten/distorted by the memory on top.

​

I wanted to create the randomness in which way the brain works - pushing down or bringing up memories of what’s desired or oppressed. By layering the memories I see it as the deeper memories goes on like a current underneath, yet destroyed by the overwriting.
